DescriptionCEMAT brings together representatives of the 47 Member States of the Council of Europe, united in their pursuit of a common objective: sustainable spatial development of the European continent. The Guiding Principles for Sustainable Spatial Development of the European Continent were adopted at the 12th Session of the CEMAT held in Hanover 2000 and incorporated into Recommendation (2002) 1 by the Committee of Ministers to Member States. The web-pages provide information about national policies, legislation, basic texts, and institutions in spatial and regional planning in different countries.
