DescriptionThe UK BAP is the UK Government's response to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) signed in 1992. It describes the UK's biological resources and commits a detailed plan for the protection of these resources. A list of priority species and habitats for the UK BAP has been compiled. This list, a result of the most comprehensive analysis ever undertaken in the UK, contains 1149 species and 65 habitats.
