DescriptionThe Timber Trade Action Plan (TTAP) was a project of several European timber trade federations (Belgium, France, Netherlands, UK) and their members, assisting forest and timber companies to produce legally verified timber. It began in 2005 and finished in 2013. It aimed to ensure legally verified timber products are traded in Europe, thereby reducing trade in illegal wood products and contributing to sustainable forest management. TTAP worked in the tropical timber producing countries Cameroon, Congo-Brazzaville, Gabon, Indonesia, Malaysia, China, Bolivia, Brazil, Guyana and Suriname.
