DescriptionETTF represents sixteen key importing trade federations from thirteen countries: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, and UK (as of 2016). ETTF promotes the interests of timber trade in Europe, and more specifically its main objectives are to: Make timber the sustainable choice; Support international efforts to address deforestation, governance and climate change; Implement Codes of Conducts. ETTF represents the key importing national timber trade federations in Europe and supports its members to reach the highest level of responsible and sustainable practices. ETTF was formed in 2009 and brought together the European associations representing importers of wood and wood products that were formed around product divisions in the 1960s - UCBD (European Hardwood Importers Association); UCIP (European Plywood Importers Association); and UCBR (European Softwood Importers Association). ETTF and the Fédération Européenne du Négoce de Bois (FEBO) merged in 2013.
