DescriptionForstarchiv is a multidisciplinary scientific journal which has published original and review articles on all aspects of forest ecology, conservation, management, and utilization since 1925. The journal focuses on recent developments in forest science and forestry, with special emphasis on topics of future relevance. These include climate change and its effects on forest ecosystems, ecosystem services and environmental issues, silviculture, forest investment, cluster analyses of the forestry sector, forests as renewable resources for bioenergy, and wood utilization technology. Forstarchiv also publishes critical book reviews that include a summary and an evaluation. The journal provides a comprehensive overview of current applied and basic research in forest science with the two-fold aim of encouraging communication among scientists in disparate fields who share a common interest in ecology, conservation, and forest management and of bridging the gap between scientists and forest managers for their mutual benefit. Forstarchiv is published six times a year. Articles are in German or English, with abstracts in the other language.
