DescriptionMSc course Tropical Forestry and Management is a two-year postgraduate program and leads to the academic degree of Master of Science in tropical forestry (MSc forest. trop.) The program is designed to enable participants to acquire professional and methodological qualifications, which meet international standards required to pursue and develop their careers. Different fields of forestry in tropical and subtropical areas are dealt with. Special emphasis is laid on socio-economics and problems of natural resource management. Instruction areas are subdivided into selected basic courses of natural, mathematical-technical and social sciences as well as core courses of forest policy, utilization of forests, social forestry, silviculture and agroforestry, forest management, planning and forest economics. Various lectures and seminars are held by national and international guest lecturers. The language of tuition is English.
