DescriptionThe Dutch Forest and Nature reserve owners association (VBNE) was established in 2013. Currently the VBNE unites five groups of members: the Association of Private Land owners, Staatsbosbeheer, Natuurmonumenten, De12Landschappen and the Ministry of Defense. These five member groups represent 70% of the Dutch forests and 90% of the Dutch nature reserves. The VBNE employs a small staff of six people and merely functions as a network organization, i.e. it regularly calls on its members for employee assistance in specific areas of expertise. The VBNE's central theme is to facilitate the continuous increase in professionalism of its members’ forest and nature management.
